WoW!

What a kick start this year as been so far. It’s just wonderful.  So many things lined up for me I can barely think straight.

My debut album has been released and I have planned a CD signing with my album at a local Record Store, Weasels Records in Shirley, Southampton.

Ok so its not a main street store because unless you are signed to a major record company the big stores don’t want to know, so  where else can you try but a store that sells records willing to let you hold the event there.  Also a Radio Interview to show case my debut album “Dreamaker” at Link FM in Romford, Essex, with Radio Presenter Tony Nugus.

Well since I last wrote things have now happened. I have had my CD Signing at Weasels Records in Shirley, Southampton on 16^th February and what a great day that was; there is a slide show on the home page of the day’s activities. Really was a fun time and the after party was cool too. My backing vocalist who were all there together, Di, Lucky and Elana AKA “Voice2Voice”  we had a cool jam session. We hadn’t sung together collectively for almost 2 years so we were all surprised that we remembered most of the words lol and we all had a good laugh. We were also joined by Tony Nugus (Link FM 92.2 radio presenter) and his wife Gill   who travelled down from Essex to be with us for this day. We are hoping to hold another CD signing when the weather improves, again somewhere in Southampton, venue not as yet confirmed, and in other towns in the UK too.

Radio Tour

On the1^st March myself and my amazing team! Carol, Di and Mandy travelled to Romford, Essex Nr London to meet up with Tony Nugus at Link FM and to record an hour long show dedicated to me and my debut album “Dreamaker” what a great experience that was. Tony and the other members of Link FM that were there on the day made us all very welcome and the show went really well. It is to be broadcast on Link FM 92.2 at 7PM GMT on Friday 7^th March ad repeated on Friday 14^th March at 3PM GMT. This is coming up to my 30th year as a singer/songwriter.
I’ve had lots of highs and many lows over those years.
I have been in Bands, Duo’s &.Trio’s and Solo with back up vocals.
I am now Solo, with guest back up vocals from many of the great voices that have worked closely with me for many years.
I do what I do because I love it, I just love to sing and write songs.
I have my own studio where I go for hours on end and just lose myself.
I love the arranging of vocals finding new ideas to the great covers that I do and try to make them my own by putting my own stamp on them.
Now with the power of the internet, many of us with bedroom converted home studio’s can be heard all over the world wow!
The chances that can come from the internet are immense but above all, not having to send endless demos out to major record companies that very rarely get listened to and without even getting a reply, after your hours of work and passion and probably end up chucked in the bin.
Well that doesn’t have to happen now with all the different sites like “Myspace,” “Facebook” and many more including a new one just started out for musicians. “Music Town” The Free Social Community For the Entertainer, also a part of D and M Music.
You can go open an account on any of these sites and the whole world can be your audience.
There are also lots of Independent Record Company’s now who can sometimes offer greater opportunities than some of the major ones and can be found on the Internet.
One such company I have been favourably connected to is D and M Records. Now a signed independent artist on their Label, I am certain that I have a fantastic musical career ahead of me.
My debut album “Dreamaker” has been released on the D and M Record Label. I am so honoured to have been chosen to join their fine family of artistStarting back in October 2007, I was entered in a music talent contest and received news from D and M Music in the USA that I was a wiThe Songs 'You Don't Know Me' & 'Smile' proved to be two winning entries!

These songs are included in a special CD called 'New Horizons' which is now on sale.
